Korean Dramas for when you are lonely

For the times when you feel lonely, there's a korean drama just waiting for you. Korean dramas remind you that the no matter how lonely you may feel in the world, there is someone out there who shares a similar feeling just as you and I do. In the moments when we are at our lowest or a moment when we feel like there's not much hope left, there is someone out there who is also clinging onto hope and that undying feeling of being "wanted" and "loved."  It's a part of human nature to desire being "accepted" and "belonging to society."

The Korean Dramas that win my "Must watch when lonely" approval are:

1. Ruler of Your Own World - when life gets you down and you're at your lowest spot, remember that the only people you need to focus on are your family and your loved ones. No one else's opinions matter as long as you get to live your life knowing that you've done your best. This drama truly inspired me to be a better person. To look beyond the outside and exterior of materialistic things and truly love others and yourself from within. <3
    
2. Hot Tropical Nights in December - this drama was funny and morbidly sad in certain episodes. It's not for everyone, but it helps you understand the life of someone who's been longing and craving attention of a spouse. It made me understand why as human creatures we make mistakes.
    
3. I'm Sorry I Love You - like Ruler Of Your Own World, this drama really surprised me and touched me deeply.  When an orphan goes out to seek his mother and discovers why he was abandoned, leaving him feeling truly unloved and forgotten.  His vendetta is to destroy her as she's destroyed his life, however learns on the journey of hate, what it means to forgive and love before it's too late.
    
4. Stairway to Heaven - the most I've ever cried in a korean drama... haha when lonesome, we just need a reason that it's okay cry ... this is the one. When you lose the one you love and finally see that person again, the flame that draws your heart closer to be with them .. can really move you in ways that you cannot control.  Haha, as a female viewer, who wouldn't want to be loved and cherished as much as Song Joo cherishes Jung Sah?
    
5. A Second Proposal - just when you you think your life is over and it can't get any worse ... well when you hit rock bottom, there's only one way to go now.  Up.  This is a truly inspiring story of a woman who's life hit rock bottom, not just once or twice ... but so many times.  She never gives up and she's blessed because she's given a "guardian angel" who always looks out for her.  Those "guardian angels" are always around us. They could be our friends, family, strangers ... to enter our life and help us make it through the rough and worse moments so that we can eventually make it to the happy place where we are supposed to be.

*Sniffs, sniffs* .... grabbing myself a tissue now.  As I write this, you can perhaps tell by my emotions that yes, indeed today is a hard day for me.  But like so many of you, I too, shall not give up.
